Short description of the Group and objectives:
GlossaLAB is an interdisciplinary research group focused on the study, integration and clarification of knowledge across domains, with special attention to knowledge systems, information, networks and complexity, and their application to education and organizational contexts.
The production and developments associated to our research are substantiated on the GlossaLAB platform and infrastructure, www.glossalab.org, as a space for the co-creation of inter- and transdisciplinary knowledge and the study knowledge integration.
Investigation lines:
- Foundations of transdisciplinary approaches (general theories of systems, networks, information, complexity)
- Integration and development of encyclopedic corpora in theories of systems, networks, information, and complexity.
- Semantic annotation of corpora for the organization and automatic extraction of content, as well as the analysis of the intensity of integration.
- Study of interdisciplinary knowledge systems (representation, formalization, analysis, and qualification of knowledge integration)
- Development and applications of the cybersubsidiarity model (including the acquisition and processing of information and knowledge, and the management of organizations)
- Application of an interdisciplinary elucidation system to teaching and academic integration.
- Virtual communications laboratory linked to conceptual elucidation in telecommunications.
- Linking of annotated encyclopedic corpora to AI tools for the development of AI-symbolic or mixed approaches.
